Yemen has vowed to attack all Israeli vessels in the event of an operation in Rafah.

The Yemeni armed forces, on the side of the Shiite Ansar Allah movement (Houthis) ruling in the north of the country, are ready to attack ships associated with Israel or going to its ports everywhere, including in the Mediterranean Sea, if the Israeli army launches an operation in Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip , Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saria said on the Al-Masirah TV channel on Friday.

“The Yemeni armed forces are ready to attack all ships that violate the decision to ban Israeli shipping and are heading to the ports of occupied Palestine, including in the Mediterranean Sea, in any area within their reach,” Saria said.

He added that such actions by the Houthis would follow if Israel “intends to launch an aggressive military operation in Rafah.”

“The Yemeni Armed Forces will impose comprehensive sanctions on all vessels of companies that are involved in supplying and entering occupied Palestinian ports of any nationality, and will prevent all vessels of these companies from passing through the area of operation of the armed forces,” he added.
