Turkey plans to consume gas from the Black Sea in the first quarter of 2023

Turkey plans to consume gas produced in the Black Sea in the first quarter of 2023, Vice President Fuat Oktay said.

Turkey will invest almost ten billion dollars of investments in the extraction and transportation of 540 billion cubic meters of gas in the Black Sea.

“I would like to tell all our citizens in Turkey the good news that they will burn the gas produced in the Black Sea in their kitchens in the first quarter of 2023,” Fuat Oktay said.

Earlier, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Donmez said that Turkey will determine a new supply program with gas production in the Black Sea, Ankara will give preference to short and medium-term contracts so as not to upset the balance of supply and demand.
