Trump has promised to create a commission with Musk to audit the government.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump promised to create a commission to reform the government to improve its efficiency if he wins the presidential election, adding that it will be headed by businessman Elon Musk.

“I will create a Government Performance Commission that will review both the finances and the performance of the entire government and make recommendations for the sweeping reforms that we need,” Trump said Thursday at the New York Economic Club.

Trump also said that Musk, who had previously supported him, agreed to head the future commission.

The Washington Post on Monday, citing informed sources, wrote that Trump, if he wins the election in November, is considering the possibility of creating a special commission, the leadership of which could include Musk, to conduct an audit of government programs.

Western media wrote that Trump, if he wins the election, will offer the entrepreneur a place in his administration or a consulting position.
