Trump cited the advantages of Canada’s inclusion in the United States.

US President-elect Donald Trump, in a Merry Christmas message on his Truth Social social network, described the benefits of Canada’s inclusion in the States and promised an American presence in Greenland.

“Merry Christmas to everyone, including the wonderful soldiers of China who lovingly but illegally operate the Panama Canal… Also to Canadian Governor Justin Trudeau, taxes there are too high, but if Canada becomes our 51st state, taxes there will be cut by 60%, their business will immediately double and they will be militarily protected like no other country in the world,” Trump wrote.

Trump also congratulated the people of Greenland, “which the United States needs for national security purposes and which wants the United States to be there.”

“And we will,”  the president-elect concluded.
