The US Congress did not support the amendment banning the transfer of cluster bombs to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The U.S. House of Representatives did not support an amendment to the draft national defense budget (NDAA) to ban the transfer of cluster bombs to Ukraine, the results of the vote show.

According to the voting results, the amendment was rejected by a majority of votes following the consideration – 147 in favor and 276 against.

Earlier, the House of Representatives also rejected amendments proposed by a number of lawmakers to the draft National Defense Act for Fiscal Year 2024 (NDAA) to reduce and block future military assistance to Ukraine.
