The UN has had no access to the northern Gaza Strip since December 1.

The UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has not had access to the northern Gaza Strip since fighting resumed on December 1 after a truce,  the organization’s Commissioner General Filippe Lazzarini said.

“We had access to the northern part of the Gaza Strip during the humanitarian pause. We have not been able to return there since the resumption of hostilities (December 1),” he said.

Lazzarini noted earlier that today Gaza is no longer a livable place, the infrastructure has disappeared.
