The Prime Minister of the Czech Republic spoke about the progress of raising funds for shells for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Ukraine’s allies managed to raise part of the money needed to purchase shells outside the EU, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala said.

“I thank all the countries that have already joined the Czech initiative to purchase ammunition for Ukraine. At the moment, we have managed to raise enough money to buy the first batch of 300 thousand artillery shells. However, our goal is to send much more!” – Fiala wrote on the social network X.

According to him, this is where the work of the Czech Republic ends – Prague continues to look for partners to continue supporting Ukraine.

In winter, the Czech authorities, due to the EU’s failure to deliver the promised million shells to Ukraine by March, offered to purchase the missing ones in third countries, where, according to Prague, 450 thousand ammunition is available.
