The President of the Czech Republic doubted Ukraine’s ability to return the territories.

Czech President Petr Pavel expressed doubts about Kyiv’s ability to return lost territories in the foreseeable future.

“It is unlikely that Ukraine will be able to regain all of its territory within internationally recognized borders in the foreseeable future,” Pavel said.

By supporting Ukraine, Europeans, according to Pavel, thereby strengthen their own security.

“If we want to maintain peace and security in this part of Europe, then we must set clear borders for Russia. If we fail, this could lead to significant complications in the situation in the future,” Pavel emphasized.

At the same time, the Czech president continues to believe that there is still a possibility that Russia will understand that it is not able to achieve military success in Ukraine, and this could lead to diplomatic negotiations instead of “a pointless waste of resources and human lives.”
