The moral superiority of the United States in the Middle East has suffered, Ankara said.

The “moral superiority” of the United States in the Middle East has suffered incredibly, and the United States may be on the verge of a final break with the region, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said.

Commenting on the US sending an aircraft carrier to the Eastern Mediterranean, Fidan replied that this is not a new situation and Washington can pursue tactical and strategic goals in accordance with its needs.

“As far as we can tell, they want this to be a deterrent if a party other than Hamas enters the war. It appears that, under pressure from the Israelis, the Americans have agreed to a policy of excluding Hamas from being a party in Palestine. To what extent will America agree to this , it is still unclear. At the first stage, they support Israel with all types of ammunition and so on,” the minister said.

Noting that “US moral superiority in the region has suffered incredibly,” Fidan said that “the US may be on the verge of a final rupture.”
