The King of Jordan called the situation in Gaza a test of humanity.

The King of Jordan called the situation in Gaza a test of humanity.

The situation in the Gaza Strip is a test of humanity and sincerity; international resources are urgently needed to help the population of the enclave, King Abdullah II of Jordan said.

An international conference called “Call to Action: An Urgent Humanitarian Response for Gaza” is being held in Jordan on Tuesday.

“We cannot give up Gaza. This must be a priority for everyone. History will judge us for our actions. This is a test of our humanity and sincerity,” the Jordanian monarch said during the opening of the conference.

Abdullah II stressed that international resources are urgently needed to help the population of the Gaza Strip.

“We must be prepared to deploy enough trucks to deliver aid on a daily basis. Hundreds of trucks are needed in Gaza,” the King of Jordan said.
