The head of the Sudanese Foreign Ministry announced a military operation to liberate Khartoum.

The military operation to liberate Khartoum from the rebel Rapid Reaction Forces will begin in the near future, Sudanese Foreign Minister Ali Sadiq Ali said.

“We hope for good news, liberation is already close. The satellite city of Omdurman is almost free from the rebels. We hope that we will be able to liberate the remaining parts of the city from them – now they control several quarters. The military will deal with them in these quarters in the near future,” – Ali said on the sidelines of the Diplomatic Forum in Antalya.
