The EU agreed to increase the Ukraine assistance fund by five billion euros.

Permanent representatives of EU member states on Wednesday agreed in principle to allocate five billion euros to the European Peace Fund to provide military assistance to Ukraine in 2024, the Belgian Presidency of the EU Council reported on the X network.

“An agreement has been reached. EU permanent representatives have agreed in principle on the reform of the European Peace Fund to finance support for Ukraine in 2024 by 5 billion euros,” the presidency said in a statement.
