The press service of the Tbilisi City Hall issued a special statement recommending residents of the Georgian capital to stay at home.

“Strong rains and wind created problems in the capital. Streets and underpasses were flooded, trees were knocked down, power lines were damaged. All relevant departments of the Tbilisi City Hall, together with the Emergency Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, are fully mobilized, work has begun to eliminate the consequences. We urge residents to refrain from moving along the streets, and if necessary, call the hotline of the mayor’s office,” the statement said.
