Switzerland will provide Ukraine with $110 million.

Swiss President Alain Berset announced his intention to provide Ukraine with more than $110 million in assistance aimed at humanitarian demining.

“We consider humanitarian demining in Ukraine a priority, which has a direct impact on improving food security. We have decided on an additional package of 100 million Swiss francs (more than $113 million),” Berset said at a press conference in Kiev on Saturday.


Earlier, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine announced its intention to create a market for farmland mine clearance services. Also, the Ministry of Economy previously announced the start of free training for the sapper profession in a number of educational institutions in the country, including plans to train sappers from people with disabilities.
