Stoltenberg spoke about the agreement on Hungary’s non-participation in the mission to Ukraine.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that he accepts Hungary’s decision not to participate in the alliance’s mission to coordinate assistance to Ukraine.

“The Prime Minister of Hungary clearly stated that Hungary will not participate in these efforts, I have accepted this position. I am also glad that the Prime Minister of Hungary and I agreed on the terms of Hungary’s non-participation in efforts to support Ukraine. Hungarian representatives will not participate in such activities, Hungarian funds will not be used for this,” he said after talks with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in Budapest.

He also added that the agreement on Hungary’s non-participation in the NATO mission in Ukraine provides that Budapest will not block decision-making by the rest of the alliance members.
