Serbian Interior Minister Alexander Vulin said that one of the world’s largest intelligence agencies plans to launch a campaign to discredit him because of his position on relations with Russia and China.
⠀
“One of the largest intelligence services in the world, if not the largest, announced that my positions are unacceptable and that if I do not change them and do not abandon the policy that I am pursuing,<…> then I will not become a member of the government and they will do absolutely everything, to compromise me,” Vulin said.
⠀
According to the minister, a massive campaign to discredit him in the media will begin next week, during the formalization of a new convocation of parliament.
⠀
“The condition was that I start working for this foreign intelligence service. I won’t even at the cost of my own life <…> I have not worked for anyone and will not work, except for the Serbian people, the Serbian state, and I will not be completely loyal to anyone except for the President of All Serbs Aleksandar Vučić,” he stressed.
⠀
The official urged the head of state to withstand external pressure and maintain military neutrality, as well as maintain “the best” relations with Russia and China.
