Security measures have been strengthened in the Czech Republic.

In connection with the threat of a terrorist attack in the Czech Republic, the police are urgently taking increased security measures, the head said.

“The police are currently taking preventive measures. They have no information about an immediate threat. Additional information will be published shortly,” the minister told.

The police already switched to terrorist threat mode on Saturday, and increased security measures are in effect “until further notice.” The threat, due to which security measures were strengthened, may concern not only the Czech Republic.

Armed police patrols have appeared on the streets of Prague, especially near train and bus stations, and on highways the police conduct identity checks.
