American entrepreneur Elon Musk said that under the current administration in Brazil, investing in this country is madness.

Earlier, Brazilian media reported that Starlink accounts in the country were frozen at the request of the judge of the Supreme Federal Court of Brazil, Alexander de Morais, due to the absence of a legal representative of the social network X in the country.

American billionaire Elon Musk said that the social network X and the company belonging to SpaceX belong to him Starlink are two legally different companies, so the Brazilian court’s decision to freeze the latter’s accounts is illegal.

“Investing in Brazil under their current administration is insane,” Musk wrote on his social media account X.

Musk also expressed his hope that “this will change” when new leadership comes to power in the country.

Morais previously gave billionaire Musk 24 hours to appoint a new legal representative for social network X in the country or face suspension. The deadline expired at 20.07 on Thursday. Social network X on Friday said it was refusing to comply with “illegal orders” from a court in Brazil and expected to be blocked in that country.

On Friday, Judge Alexandri di Morais ordered the suspension of social network X in the country. Later, Musk, commenting on the decision of the Brazilian authorities to suspend the work of the social network X in the country, called it one of the unprecedented attacks on freedom of speech in the 21st century.
