Kim Jong-un’s sister condemned the sending of leaflets by South Korea.

Kim Jong-un’s sister condemned the sending of leaflets by South Korea.

The sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, Kim Yo Jong, threatened “terrible and unbearable” consequences for South Korean activists against the backdrop of their next sending of at least 29 balloons with leaflets to the DPRK, the Central Telegraph Agency (KCNA) reports.

As Kim Yo Jong said in her statement, on July 16, 29 large balloons launched by “scum” from South Korea were discovered on the southern border and in the depths of some areas of the DPRK. Currently, the competent authorities are conducting a search, removing the fallen objects and burning them. Photos published by KCNA showed anti-Pyongyang leaflets being burned and lying on the ground.

Kim Yo Jong added that by blocking access to relevant areas in many areas, “the inconvenience of residents is worsening.”

“Once again I strictly warn you. They must be prepared for terrible and unbearable consequences,” she said.

The sister of the North Korean leader warned that the country is not going to allow this to happen again, and if South Korean activists continue their “stupid and heinous acts,” the way North Korea will respond will “inevitably” change.

Kim Yo Jong has previously repeatedly threatened South Korean activists and defectors from the DPRK with consequences who, despite numerous warnings, continue to launch anti-Pyongyang leaflets across the border.

Since May 28, North Korea has launched thousands of balloons filled with trash, mostly paper, into South Korea in multiple rounds to protest anti-Penyang leaflets sent by North Korean defectors and activists in the South.

Kim Jong-un’s sister, commenting on Pyongyang’s sending of balloons with waste paper and household garbage to South Korea, expressed the hope that now Seoul will understand how unpleasant and tedious it is to clean up all this, and will be more careful when talking about freedom of speech in relation to “games” with balloons in border areas.
