John McCain: Rand Paul ‘is now working for Vladimir Putin’

John McCain: Rand Paul ‘is now working for Vladimir Putin’

John McCain directly accused his colleague, Senator Rand Paul, of working for Putin. The war between these senators are well-known in the political circles but such a hard accusation is a rather serious thing even for McCain.

John McCain gave an explosive speech on Wednesday, he said directly that Sen. Rand Paul is ‘achieving the objectives of Vladimir Putin’. The discussions regarding a bill advancing Montenegro’s joining NATO made a lot of noise in Senate when McCain noted objection from his Kentucky colleague,

“You are achieving the objectives of Vladimir Putin… trying to dismember this small country which has already been the subject an attempted coup. If they object, they are now carrying out the desires and ambitions of Vladimir Putin and I do not say that lightly.”

The 80-year-old senator McCain used to avoid diplomatic approaches or equivoques in his words but such a direct accusation of Kentucky colleague of working for Putin is too much even for Mccain. Rand Paul took the mic to raise his objection before dramatically exiting the room.

After that, McCain continued his passionate speech and explained Paul’s leaving the room, the final passage of John McCain’s speech was simple and sound:

“So I repeat again, the senator from Kentucky is now working for Vladimir Putin.”
