Greece’s business circles demanded the end of the US blockade against Cuba.
On Saturday, nine union organizations and eight municipal groups in Greece have demanded that the EU refuse to comply with the provisions of that policy.
The joint statement stressed that Greek businesses demand to lift the restrictive measures is now becoming even more urgent due to the period of the pandemic. According to the signatories, the current moment should be the occasion for all nation to strengthen their cooperation.
Additionally, the countries of the globe could turn to international cooperation and mutual assistance and abandon the policies of economic competition, the looting of the weak, wars and policies that ecologically strangle the planet.
‘The peoples of the world yearn and are fighting for a different course for humanity,’ document reads.
According to the Cuban businessmen, Washington aggressive and inhuman policy for six decades with the objective of overthrowing the Cuban Revolution and restoring the US domination in that island of freedom.
