Germany refused to extradite Ukrainians liable for military service.

Germany will not expel Ukrainian citizens liable for military service from the country at Kyiv’s request,  German Justice Minister Marco Buschmann said.

“We will not force people against their will to be drafted into military service or go to war. This will not happen,” the minister said.

He noted that the German constitution does not provide for this for citizens of this country, and therefore he cannot imagine how to demand this from citizens of other states.

Earlier, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said in an interview with Bild that he would like to mobilize citizens who left the country. In December, a member of the German parliament from the opposition Christian Democratic Union (CDU), Roderich Kiesewetter, said that 10 divisions could be formed from Ukrainian citizens in Germany.
