Finland has said it has no plans to create a NATO center of excellence.

Establishing a NATO center of excellence in Finland is not a priority, Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen said.

Häkkänen commented on the statement of US Senator Lindsey Graham about the need to create such a center in Finland, telling Finnish media that this is not currently on Finland’s list of priorities.

According to him, Finland is now focusing on creating military defense in Northern Europe. Häkkänen did not rule out that a NATO center of excellence might one day appear in Finland.
