Environmental activists spray-painted the façade of the Chancellor’s office in Berlin.

Environmental activists spray-painted the façade of the Chancellor’s office in Berlin.

Environmental activists from the Letzte Generation (“Last Generation”) movement painted the façade of the Chancellor’s office in Berlin with orange paint, wrote “Help! Your children” on it and left handprints, the movement reported on the official page on the social network X.

“A call for help is on the façade of the Chancellor’s Office. If we don’t get loud now, we won’t have a future!” –  the movement said.

The attached photo shows several activists in bright orange vests painting a wall with palms and the words “Help! Your children.” One of them is pulled away from the front of the building by a police representative.

Letzte Generation also emphasize that all demonstrators are under 20 years old.

The Berliner Zeitung newspaper reports that about 16 activists took part in the action, ten of whom were detained by police.

In the video published by the publication, you can see how the protesters are sitting or lying with posters on the road, behind them there is a painted wall. Law enforcement officers walk around the demonstrators.
Last Generation activists are best known for their protests, in which they block traffic by gluing themselves to the roadway, or try to disrupt major events, demanding that the authorities take action on climate protection.
