Donald Trump slams Angela Merkel’s refugee policy

Donald Trump is far from being impressed with Angela Merkel’s policy on migrants. The US President-elect tagged Chancellor’s scenario a ‘catastrophic mistake.’

Donald Trump all the time criticised Angela Merkel for her unbalanced and unreasonable policy on migrants. According to Trump, Chancellor’s ‘open-door’ policy on refugees is totally wrecking for the European country.

On Sunday all this Trump’s critics was published as a joint interview: German Bild and British newspaper The Times of London. In particular, Mr Trump said:

“I think she made one very catastrophic mistake and that was taking all of these illegals, you know, taking all of the people from wherever they come from. And nobody even knows where they come from. So I think she made a catastrophic mistake, very bad mistake.”

Merkel and migrant crisis: facts and figures

Angela Merkel has widely opened Germany’ss hugs to the migrants in 2015, about 1 million migrants from Syria has entered Germany. That Merkel’s unreasonable policy was labelled by Donald Trump as a ‘catastrophic mistake’. opened the country’s doors, famously saying “we can do this.”

The wave of crimes and the worsening of the public order in Germany and its neighbouring countries became the logical consequences of such Merkel’s policy on refugees. Frau Chancellor opened the country’s doors, saying her famous and pompous ‘we can do this,’ while many Germans didn’t support this decision.

According to Trump, Merkel ‘got a clear impression’ of the consequences of her policy from a Berlin terror attack that killed 12 people in December.
