Donald Trump and Barack Obama meet at White House

Donald Trump and Barack Obama, President-elect and sitting President, meet at White House. the mogul who promise ‘To make America white again’ has a conversation with Afro-American Mr Obama. Melania Tump had a meeting with First Lady Michelle Obama, while their husbands had a conversation. 

Donald Trump said it was a “great honour” to meet President Barack Obama for transition talks at the White House. Both Obama and  Trump have a history of mutual hostility, Mr Trump has questioned Mr Obama’s US citizenship and vowed to dismantle his legacy in the past. Nevertheless, Barack Obama noted he was “encouraged” by their “excellent” and “wide-ranging” conversation.

Meanwhile, the protesters gathered across the country on Wednesday. Many chanted: “Not my president.” In New York, thousands marched on Trump Tower, according to the police, 65 people were arrested. California is also protesting against Trump as President, in Oakland police responded to the riots with tear gas. In Los Angeles, a mass anti-Trump rally shut down the key 101 freeway.

Chicago citizens blocked the entrance to Trump Tower, chanting: “No Trump, No KKK, No Fascists USA”, and in Washington DC, Philadelphia, Boston, Seattle, San Francisco and Portland the protesters and anti-Trump crowd were reported. Many Americans, in fact, are very displeased with Trump’s victory.

Mr Obama, who congratulated his successor in a phone call in the early hours of Wednesday, said it was “no secret” that he and Mr Trump had pretty significant differences.
