China will suspend flights to and from the UK

Сhina announced that all flights to and from the UK suspended. That move added the Asian country to the growing list of nations who have approved travel bans until further notice, The Independent reports.

China’s foreign ministry declared new restrictions regarding travel to and from Britain. The new, highly-contagious, version of the COVID-19, made China ban the flights from the UK.

As of today, China did not offer details on when flights would stop. On Tuesday, the Chinese Visa Application Service Centre in London said it will suspend its operation until further notice.

China, a country where the novel pathogen was born, has already imposed strict entry requirements to curb the spread of the COVID-19 and last month banned foreign arrivals from a number of countries. On the Chinese blacklist are Belgium, India, the Philippines, and the UK.

Due to the new strain of corona infection founded in Britain, the international carriers are largely limited to one flight per week per foreign city. The new flight ban will prevent Chinese nationals based in Britain from returning to China.

In addition, non-Chinese passport holders from the UK were already banned from traveling to China in November.
