China called on countries to resist illegal sanctions and blockades.

Pressure and deterrence cannot solve one’s own problems, said Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

“In the face of one-sided bullying such as sanctions and blockades, China resolutely supports each country to protect its legitimate rights, maintain a fair and open international system, jointly strengthen global development, jointly resist technological blockades, and jointly resist chain breaking,” he said.

He also noted that “sanctions pressure will not bring monopoly advantages, pressure and deterrence will not solve one’s own problems, the right of every country to a better life cannot be taken away.”
