British soldiers will not be sent to Ukraine, Sunak said.

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said that British soldiers will not be sent to participate in the conflict in Ukraine, and training the Ukrainian military on the territory of this country is not a matter of the present time.

Earlier, British Defense Minister Grant Shapps said that Great Britain is considering the possibility of stationing its military in Ukraine to train Ukrainian Armed Forces.

“There are no British soldiers who will be sent to fight in the current conflict,” Sky News quoted Sunak as saying.

The prime minister added that military training in Ukraine is possible, but not now.

“This is something for the long term,” he stressed.
