Britain reported an attack on a ship off the coast of Yemen.

The British Maritime Trade Operations Office (UKMTO) of the British Navy has again reported an attack on a ship off the coast of the Yemeni port of Hodeidah.

Earlier, the department reported an attack on the ship 116.6 kilometers southwest of Hodeidah.

“UKMTO received a report of an incident 97 nautical miles (about 180 kilometers) northwest of Hodeidah, Yemen,” the department said in a statement posted on its website.

The incident is classified as an attack and authorities are investigating, the department said. UKMTO advised vessels to navigate the area with caution and report any suspicious activity.

The ruling Ansar Allah (Houthi) movement in northern Yemen, which controls most of Yemen’s Red Sea coast, previously announced its support for Palestine and its intention to attack any ships associated with Israel, calling on other countries to recall their crews from them and not approach them in the sea. At the same time, they stated that they do not interfere with freedom of navigation in the region and do not interfere with ships of other countries.

Amid the attacks, some companies decided to suspend shipments through the Red Sea.
