Betty Russell, the grandmother of Brad Pitt, has passed away without fulfilling her dying wish of seeing her grandson one last time. The old lady, ‘Meema’, spent her last years in the Rose Manor Nursing Center in Shawnee, Oklahoma, where Brad and his brother were born. but peacefully passed away on September 14 at a local hospital.

Meema has received visits from her sisters who lived nearby – the big and loving family spent enough time with her, she wasn’t alone. In her final days, Betty wanted to see her grandson Brad who, unfortunately, couldn’t come to Shawnee. There are rumours that Brad’s last documented trip to see his grandmother was in 2008.
Angelina Jolie and the divorce took many time a lot of nerves to Pitt, Betty understood it very well and tried to support her grandson during their regular phone conversation. She knows that her Brad helps so many people, donates money and builds the house in NOLA, Betty was proud of him.
Betty Russel preferred to live in the nursing home because all the old people are together over there, they have so much in common. Moreover, the nursing home organizes many activities for them like playing poker, exercise, go shopping. Mrs Russel didn’t want to be a burden for her family, and the staying at the good nursing home was the optimal option for whole the family.
The tribute added that in lieu of flowers, friends could donate to a local mission ‘because Betty’s main concern was that children were being fed’. Brad and whole family grieve after losing her lovely Betty ‘Meema’.
