US President Joe Biden, in an interview with Time, called Finland’s entry into NATO his own merit.

Biden said that during a telephone conversation with Finnish President Sauli Niiniste, he recalled a meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

“He (Putin) said that he wants to see the Finlandization of NATO. I told him that he would achieve not Finlandization, but the NATOization of Finland. And everyone thought, including you, that I was crazy,” he said.

Biden added that as a result, the United States has created the strongest alliance in history. “I did it,” the American president said twice.
