Armenia announced the detention of an Azerbaijani soldier.

The National Security Service of Armenia reports that an armed soldier of the Azerbaijani army crossed the border at the Syunik section early in the morning and was detained.

“At approximately 5.15, at the border area near the Teh community of the Syunik region, a serviceman of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, armed with a machine gun with one clip, crossed the Armenian-Azerbaijani contact line. He was neutralized by servicemen of the Armenian Ministry of Defense,” a message published on the NSS website says.

A criminal case has been opened and an investigation is underway.
