An earthquake of magnitude 5.6 has struck Bangladesh, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) reports.

Previously, seismologists reported that the magnitude of the earthquake was 5.8.


The earthquake was recorded at 03.35 UTC time, 44 kilometers southwest of the city of Comilla with a population of 389 thousand people. The source of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 kilometers.
