A Palestinian activist was arrested in Israel for calling for the massacre of Israelis.

Israeli troops have arrested Palestinian activist Adeh Tamimi, who called for the massacre of Jewish settlers in the West Bank, Haaretz reports.

Five days ago, 22-year-old Tamimi posted on social media saying that Palestinian residents of the West Bank would “slaughter” Israeli settlers, “drink their blood and eat their skulls.”

According to the publication, Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers arrested the activist on Monday night in her home village of Nabi Salih, located 20 kilometers from the city of Ramallah.

Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir responded to the arrest by praising the military for “detaining a terrorist” on his social media account.

In December 2017, Tamimi was detained by Israeli authorities for slapping a soldier. The girl was sentenced to eight months in prison after agreeing to a plea deal.
