A march in support of Palestine takes place in Tunisia.

A march of thousands in support of the Palestinian people is taking place at this moment in the Tunisian capital.

A number of public organizations and parties in the Arab Republic called for a national march of solidarity with the people of Palestine. A mass action is taking place on the central streets of the Tunisian capital.

Demonstrators carry Palestinian and Tunisian flags, as well as banners with anti-Israeli slogans.

“Israel is pursuing a policy of genocide against the Palestinian people. Our march and actions in support of Palestine prove that our brothers in Palestine are not alone, the whole world is with them. We oppose the normalization of relations between a number of Arab countries and the occupation regime,” one of the participants processions said.

The US Embassy in Tunisia said Wednesday it would close to the public for two days due to protests being organized by Palestinian supporters in the North African country’s capital.

The office of Tunisian President Kais Said on Saturday issued a statement according to which the Arab Republic expresses full and unconditional support for the Palestinian people in the armed conflict with Israel. The office said in a statement that the Palestinian territories have been under Zionist occupation for decades.
