US Open 2016: how Lucas Pouille beats Rafael Nadal in five sets

The tennis player from France Lucas Pouille beats Rafael Nadal in four-hour match, their game became a sensation on the 2016 US Open courts. Pouille claimed the biggest win of his career because he was able to beat the two-time champion Rafael Nadal.

Lucas Pouille, the 22-year-old player from France, made an unbelievable break down in the fifth before converting his fourth match point in the tie-break to win 6-1 2-6 6-4 3-6 7-6 (8-6). As a result, he won, and this success was fantastic–he beats Rafael Nadal. Pouille, the world number 25, commented his winning at US Open:

“It took everything. I could not dream better than that.”

So far, Pouille will play with Gael Monfils, another player from France, who beat Marcos Baghdatis in the previous tennis fight. Rafael Nadal is leaving the tournament, this year was the first one when Rafa has failed to reach a Grand Slam quarter-final.

On Sunday, Lucas Pouille won a scintillating fifth-set tiebreaker to defeat Rafael Nadal 6-1, 2-6, 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (6) in Arthur Ashe Stadium.
