Cuba honors Fidel Castro and congratulates “historic leader of the revolution” with the National Rebellion Day. July 26 is one of the most important in the year, so Cuban people really glad that their Fidel will turn 90 years next August 13.
Cuba has its own revolutionary calendar, in which there’s a special date — the National Rebellion Day. This week Cubans celebrates this day with the massive festivities in the central Cuban city of Sancti Spiritus. Fidel Castro, an ex-president and symbol of strong resistance, got millions of congratulations and the most sincere wishes from Cubans who love their Fidel.
Cuban President Raul Castro presided over the main ceremony, the leader gave a speech, which recalls the revolutionary past of Cuba and its glory sons, one of them is Fidel Castro, his brother and teacher.
The speech of Machado Ventura, one of the communistic leaders, in which he sent the “warmest greetings to comrade Fidel Castro” was echoed by the cries of “Viva Fidel!” The first celebration of the Rebellion Day was on July 26, 1953$; and after the Batista regime’s fallen, Fidel Castro became a leader of new, communistic, Cuba in 1959.
