Sweden will allocate eight million dollars for humanitarian aid to Lebanon.

Sweden is allocating about eight million dollars to provide humanitarian assistance to the people of Lebanon, the Kingdom’s Foreign Ministry reported on Saturday on the Swedish government’s website.

“The military escalation in Lebanon has serious humanitarian consequences. In this regard, Sweden is increasing humanitarian assistance to Lebanon by 83.5 ($8.05 million) million Swedish kronor,” the statement said.

The agency clarifies that the volume of Swedish humanitarian aid to Lebanon in 2024, against the backdrop of a critical situation, will more than double and amount to a total of 158.3 million Swedish kronor ($15.2 million).
