The parties to the Gaza negotiations have reached agreements, Biden said.

Negotiators to achieve a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip have reached agreements in principle on a possible deal, US President Joe Biden told reporters on Saturday.

“We think we’re close to reaching a deal. They all said they agreed to the principles (of the agreement),” Biden said, adding that he was “optimistic” about progress at this stage of negotiations. The words of the head of state are quoted by the White House pool.

According to Biden, the parties are “on the verge of concluding an agreement.”

“It’s time to end this war,” Biden emphasized, currently at his country residence in Delaware.
