Upon entry into Turkey, fingerprints will be taken.

Ankara is preparing to implement a project to take fingerprints upon entry into Turkey, the Sabah newspaper reported, citing the head of the Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ali Erlikay.

“Interior Minister Erlikaya also announced… an important project for the future and said that upon entry into Turkey, fingerprints will be taken, as in the USA and Great Britain,” the publication says.

The minister also noted that the identity cards of those who have received temporary protected status, especially Syrians, will be chipped.

According to the head of the Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs, it will be impossible to fake these certificates.
