All people have been evacuated from the train after a collision between two subway trains in New York, and work is underway on the tracks to restore traffic, the MTA said.

Answering the question whether everyone had been evacuated, the press officer indicated: “Yes, completely.”

“All victims are receiving medical care,” he added.


Earlier, the city police said that in Manhattan, an empty subway train collided with a train carrying passengers. It was reported that 24 people suffered minor injuries.

“We are currently working to restore service. It will likely take some time, but work is definitely ongoing,” the MTA said.
