The United States has assured that it will not allow changes in the borders of the Gaza Strip.

The United States will under no circumstances allow the forced relocation of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip or the redrawing of the region’s borders, US Vice President Kamala Harris said on Saturday at a meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

According to Harris’ press service, at a meeting in Dubai with the leader of Egypt, the US Vice President confirmed that Washington “will not allow the forced relocation of Palestinians from Gaza or the West Bank, the blockade of Gaza or changes in its borders.”

“The Vice President also discussed US ideas related to post-conflict planning in the Gaza Strip, including reconstruction, security and governance efforts,” Harris’ press service said.

At the same time, the US Vice President, at a meeting with al-Sisi, emphasized that the Palestinian Hamas movement should not retain control over the Gaza Strip. According to Harris, such a development would be contrary to both the interests of Israel and the interests of the Palestinian people and regional security.
