Israeli MPs called on the world to accept refugees from the Gaza Strip.

Members of the Knesset called on the international community to help the residents of Gaza by hosting them in their countries, according to a Wall Street Journal article written by two members of the Israeli parliament.

MKs Denis Danon and Ram Ben-Barak argue that the international community should seek potential solutions to the problems of civilians in the Gaza Strip in crisis by welcoming everyone who wants to leave Gaza. The deputies also recalled that throughout its history Europe has helped refugees who fled their countries due to conflicts.

“We just need several countries around the world to share responsibility and accept the Gazans. Even if countries accepted 10 thousand refugees, this would help ease the crisis,” the publication says.
