The death toll from Israeli shelling of the town of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip has reached 36, the Palestinian Interior Ministry reported.

Earlier, the Palestinian portal Quds reported that at least 25 people were killed as a result of the shelling.

“The death toll has risen to 36 and dozens have been wounded as a result of Israeli raids on Khan Yunis,” the ministry said in a statement.
