An earthquake of magnitude 4.6 was recorded in Kahramanmaraş province in southeastern Turkey, the disaster management authority (AFAD) said.

According to the department’s message on the social network X (formerly Twitter), tremors were registered at 11.22 local time in the Goksun region.

The source of the earthquake lay at a depth of 8.48 kilometers.

In the province of Kahramanmaraş on February 6, earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 7.6 occurred with an interval of nine hours. The tremors, followed by hundreds of aftershocks, were felt in 11 provinces of the country and neighboring states, including Syria, killing more than 55 thousand people.
