Kenya offered to host a ceasefire process between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the RRF.

Kenya proposes to organize a process in the country for a truce between the armed forces of Sudan and the Rapid Reaction Force (RRF), follows from a statement by Kenyan President William Ruto.

“Accordingly, in order to support further progress in the peaceful settlement of the conflict in Sudan, Kenya offers to host a truce process between the parties to the agreement. We make this offer in the spirit of brotherhood, peace and solidarity, as an acceptable neutral platform, as well as an interested party, well acquainted with the challenges facing our region,” Ruto said in a statement posted by a spokesman for the office of the President of Kenya, Hussein Mohamed, on Twitter.

On Friday morning, eyewitnesses reported that clashes between the armed forces of Sudan and the RRF are taking place on Friday on the first day of the Muslim holiday of breaking the fast, Eid al-Fitr, in the area adjacent to the Khartoum airport, Al-Matar Street, despite the truce declared by the RRF.
