Turkey overtook a new earthquake

The European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) reports that an earthquake of magnitude 5.8 occurred in the east of Turkey.

The earthquake occurred at 09:04 in time UTC (12:04 Moscow time). The epicenter of underground shocks was located 123 kilometers north-west of the city of Shanlyurf with a population of 449 thousand people and 16 kilometers southeast of the city of Malaya with a population of 441 thousand people. The hearth lay at a depth of two kilometers.

Initially, it was reported that the magnitude of the earthquake was 5.6, then it was increased to 5.8.

Information was not received about victims and destruction.
Turkish seismologists from the Extraordinary Accidents (AFAD) appreciated the magnitude of 5.6, the hearth lay at a depth of 6.9 kilometers in the area of the city of Yeshiluurt of the province of Malaya.

The underground shocks, followed by hundreds of Afterchoks, were felt in ten provinces of Turkey and neighboring countries, of which Syria was seriously injured – there the number of dead exceeded 1.4 thousand, almost 2.5 thousand were injured and injured.
