Wang Yi conveyed greetings to Putin from Xi Jinping.

Member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, head of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee Wang Yi conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from Chinese President Xi Jinping to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“Let me convey to you President Xi Jinping’s sincere greetings and wishes. At the end of last year, (President of China) met with you via video conference, comprehensively summarized the achievements of our relations, which outlined a grand plan for the development of our relations,” Wang Yi said at the meeting with Putin.

A video conference between the Russian and Chinese leaders took place at the end of 2022, then Putin invited Xi Jinping to come to Moscow in 2023 and called the relations between the countries “a model of cooperation.” The PRC leader, in turn, said that China, in the face of a difficult situation in the world, is ready to develop cooperation with Russia.
