Zakharova reproached the West for keeping silent about the environmental catastrophe in the United States

The US media and major non-governmental organizations are silent about a major US crude oil spill, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova wrote on Telegram.

“Have you heard anything about the US-Canadian Keystone Pipeline? And the fact that one of the largest environmental disasters of the decade has recently occurred on the border of the US states of Kansas and Nebraska? In the very center of the American continent, literally rivers flow right through farms and local reservoirs crude oil due to the spill,” the diplomat said.

According to her, the American media report about the accident in a dosed manner, since it is “unprofitable for the green agenda.”

“By the way, large environmental NGOs and their affiliates in the US and Canada (Greenpeace USA, Greenpeace Canada, Nature Conservancy Canada, WWF, EDF, EICES, FFI, Global Green, IUCN, Birdlife International) are also silent,” Zakharova stressed.
